Visitors' Guide
The Stunning South Bay
It's a shame if you come to Scarborough without seeing the town itself - the majestic castle standing proudly on a headland between two magnificent sweeping bays. You know, that sort of thing.
You might not have time to learn about the town's history - the Romans, the Vikings, the Civil War, the Bronte sisters, Charles Laughton, and the fact that it was the country's very first seaside resort.
But at least you can wander down to have a look at the fishing boats in the harbour and try some fresh seafood (no jellied eels, though!).

Spend some time in the amusement arcades, eat some candy floss, even buy a "Kiss Me Quick" hat if you must, or just go for a walk on the sandy beaches.
Restaurants, pubs, clubs? There's plenty. You're sure to find somewhere to enjoy.
